Welcome to the Abolitionist hall of fame! (Your next summative project)

Get ready! You have been the arduous task of attempting to persuade the board of director to let your Abolitionist into the abolitionist hall of fame. What an honor!

But who is my Abolitionist? You will be randomly given an abolitionist who you will need to research. Next you will write three reasons why they should be included in the abolitionist hall of fame. You will then put those reasons, along with an introduction and conclusion into a powerpoint (like this one!) You will also need to add pictures, background information and cited evidence into your powerpoint as well.

Time to convince. When everything is completed you will present to the class why your abolitionist should belong in the abolitionist hall of fame. Your peers will take notes and when everyone has finished presenting we will vote on who should in the hall of fame!

So what do I have to do? Today and Monday you will be conducting research on your abolitionist. (If you think you will need more time, use the weekend.) On Tuesday you will then have to write one out your best reason paragraph to be turned in. Wednesday will be planning out how your powerpoint will look and on Thursday and Friday you will get to put it all together. Friday will also be some peer editing, to make sure your powerpoint is the best it can be.
