The Research Questions How does Project ECHO (http://echo.unm.edu/) use a hub-and-spoke model to share expert knowledge with community partners in primary care? What are the logistics of engaging with or developing a Project ECHO hub? How can Project ECHO monitor process and outcome measures?

What the Researchers Did Project ECHO connects primary care practitioners to specialists and to each other in real time. Researchers described how their Project ECHO(s) work. Participants included ECHOOntario (Chronic Pain; Mental Health) Colorado (multiple); Weitzman Institute, Connecticut (multiple)

What the Researchers Found: examples from ECHO Chronic Pain (ON, CT) Findings: ECHO participants 1) improve in their level of knowledge and 2) appreciate real-time access to expertise and 3) benefit from peer to peer interaction

What This Means for Clinical Practice Interdisciplinary primary care practitioners (PCPs)have access to expertise and to peer support when they need it most. Project ECHO democratizes knowledge while improving patient care. CME credits
