Crazy Important Parts of Sections 1-2 Section 1 – Congress is made up of the House of Representatives and the Senate (Due to the Great Compromise) Section 2 – Every state can have at least one member of the House, and the House is decided upon population of each state. (Virginia Plan) Requirements to be a member: 25 years old, citizen for 7 years, and “living” in that state

Super Duper Sections 3 - 4 Section 3 - Every state has two senators (New Jersey Plan) Requirements to be a Senate member: 30 years old, citizen for 9 years, and “living” in that state. Vice President is the “President” of the Senate The Senate has the power of Impeachment: put officials on trial and remove them if needed. Section 4 – Congress shall assemble at least once a year.

No Ex Post Facto Law – no punishments on crimes prior those acts becoming law. 3. **No Habeas Corpus suspension** - must have reasons for detention, unless in cases of rebellion or invasion.
