Florida Bicycle Month March 2019 March is Florida Bicycle Month! A few of us throughout Palm Beach County have come together to determine when exactly Bike To Work Week would be, and particularly Bike To Work Day…….While we have decided on BTWW and BTWD on our own, your municipality if free to establish their own day and week that works out best for them……We chose this particular week after considering Spring Break for PBC Schools and because of the big boat show that’s happening!

Bike to Work Day Ride March 15, 2019 Start @ 7:30 am Mangonia Park Tri-Rail Station Finish @ 8:15 am West Palm Beach City Hall Palm Beach TPA is doing a Bike to Work Day Ride on the morning of Friday, March 15, 2019 from the Mangonia Park Tri-Rail Station to West Palm Beach City Hall – we invite everyone to join us! Folks that join us for the ride will receive a BikePalmBeach Tshirt (but it’s first come, first serve!) We will meet at the Target parking lot then.

Here is a list of events from last year that we hope to see happen again this year, PLUS even more! We really want you guys to try and take this opportunity to shine in your community and advocate for SAFE cycling habits and SAFE infrastructure by bringing bicycle awareness into your community through events such as these.

Florida Bicycle Month Proclamations 2018 Palm Beach County Bike Month Proclamations: City of Boca Raton City of Greenacres City of West Palm Beach Village of Palm Springs Village of Royal Palm Beach Palm Beach County Palm Beach TPA Total Proclamations 7 This is a list of all the city governments in Palm Beach County who did a proclamation in 2018. Last year there was a total of 7 Florida Bicycle Month Proclamations in our County (as shown on the screen) – we are hoping even more municipalities join us this year in celebrating Florida Bicycling Month and doing a proclamation in their community. The TPA Board will be doing one at the next board meeting. The Board of County Commissioners will be doing a Florida Bicycle Month Proclamation to celebrate and support bicycles in Palm Beach County on March 12th. Palm Springs have also announced they will be doing theirs on February 14th. If you would like to do one for your own city, we’ve included a sample proclamation in the agenda backup we emailed to you, and a copy can also be found at www.BikePalmBeach.org, front and center on the main page.
