History Year 7 Homework Menu : Spring Term You will be given four deadlines across the whole Spring Term. You need to complete two tasks from each row. You may choose which of the three tasks per half term you complete for each homework. Literacy Task Creative Task Research Task SPRING 1 Write two short stories about the raid on Lindisfarne. One should be from the point of view of the Vikings. The other should be from the point of the view of the Saxons. Remember that they will write about what happened in completely different ways, using different words and include different details. Draw a picture of the Viking raid on Lindisfarne. Make it as accurate as possible. Include at least 6 labels to explain your picture. These need to be based on what you know about what happened at Lindisfarne. Find out more about the differences between the Vikings and the Saxons. Answer two of the following questions for both the Vikings & the Saxons: How did they fight? What religion did they have? What was their lifestyle like (e.g. food, housings)? Then write one sentence on the biggest difference between the Vikings & Saxons. Deadline: Done: SPRING 2 Consider what you know about William I: 1.) Write a list of things that made this King a good leader. 2.) Write a list of things that made this King a bad leader. 3.) Write at least 3 sentences about whether you think this King was a good or bad leader. Choose one of the following options to revise what happened in 1066: 1.) Draw 5 pictures of summarise what happened during the Battle of Hastings. Then, without looking at your book, write a label for each picture from memory. 2.) Write 6 or more questions about what happened in 1066. Then, without looking at your book, try to answer them from memory. Find out more about what the Normans got up to in Britain. Research ONE of the two options below: Harrying of the North The Domesday Book You need to find out at least 10 facts and present them really well.
