Newsletter From Mrs. Wolfgang and Mrs. Griffin Dear Parents, It’s hard to believe we have finished our first quarter of school! Time flies when you are having fun! The students have adjusted so well to kindergarten and Ms. Griffin and I are so proud of them all! We are also so happy to welcome the newest member of our class, Ms. Lindsay Fritz, our new paraprofessional! Conference week is next week, and we look forward to seeing everyone soon! Language Arts/ Reading: Here are the letters we have been working on…. M, A, S, T, N, I, F, P, O, C, H, B, U, R, and E. Here are the sight words we have worked on… Like, I, the, and, see, we, a, to, come, me, with, my, what, are, & you. Practice sight words each night! In reading we have been working on story elements: characters, settings, problem, and solution. Ask your child the story elements as you read each night! Practice writing Narrative Stories at home. Write about something fun you have done with family!  Math: We have worked on… Counting to 50 Numbers 1-10 2D and 3D shapes, as well as comparing/contrasting shapes. Counting in a line and rectangular array to 20 Social Studies: We have worked on… Labor Day, the Pledge of Allegiance, US and Georgia Flags, as well as maps and globes. Please start helping your child learn their address. We will be working on this soon. Science: We have worked on animals and their similarities and differences. As well as matching offspring to the parent. Procedures: Ask your child about our classroom and hallway expectations. Talk about the expectations and go over them at home.  Reminders: Fall Festival is Friday, October 13th from 6- 8:30pm! Conference week is October 16th-20th! Dismissal is at 12:30pm EVERY DAY! Please mark afternoon transportation in folders every day! Thank you! Book Character Day is Monday, October 30th. No Halloween Costumes, please. No School November 7th! Election Day!
