Great Marsden St John's 'Pick and Mix' Homework Year 3 - Autumn Term 2 This 'Pick and Mix' homework is for the whole half term. Red Boxes need to be completed regularly each week. Yellow Boxes must be done at some point during the half term. Challenge yourself to the green box activities. These do not have to be done, but if you want to push yourself, that would be super! Reading Please try to read your home reader for 10 minutes at least 3 times per week. Ask an adult to sign your reading record. (Maths task) Make a list of 20 different ways you can make the number 100. Use different calculation methods. Wednesday 14th November + - x ÷ The Empty Box! You can do anything you like; a presentation on something that interests you; write about something you have done - the choice is yours... Grammar task Complete the task in relation to speech marks. ​ Wednesday 28th November Create a Christmas card for someone in your class. Make a list of as many cities in the UK as you can think of. A Family Learning Activity Have some fun playing in the snow (if the weather allows.) Spelling/Phonics. These will be given out on a weekly basis on Monday’s. Talk about... God Think about our learning in RE. How do we know God is with us? Complete the editing task. Adding in missing punctuation and words. ​ Wednesday 12th December Create a nativity scene. Sing Christmas carols and songs. Complete the volcano labelling sheet. Wednesday 19th December Take a picture of yourself reading in a peculiar place. Bring it in to display in our reading corner. Number Facts Included in your homework pack are times tables the children need to learn. Times tables should be practiced on a regular basis. Please tick and initial the activities your child has completed.
