1000 Lives Improvement Service Primary drivers AIM Increase improvement skills base of NHS staff. Increase access to improvement knowledge Increase health boards and trusts organisation focus on improvement. To support NHS Wales to increase its capability to deliver improved health, healthcare outcomes and user experience. Support service integration and co-production. Maintain ‘cutting edge’ expertise and delivery in 1000 Lives Improvement. Maintain excellent relationship between 1000 Lives Improvement and health boards and trusts.

National Service User Experience Group Update Formed December 2013 (following task and finish group) Reviewed terms of reference, membership and chair/vice chair Aims to advise the CNO on relevant matters, share experiences and resources and act as a self support group for those working in the field

National Service User Experience Group Update Organisational updates from each Health Board and Trust Agreed to share reports to identify good practice Several common issues: Resources Links with other sources of feedback Presentation and sharing of results Demonstration of improvements based on feedback

National Service User Experience Group Update Next steps Include representatives for children and mental health Prioritise key issues Review and test “easy read” version Develop work plan, with leads shared across the group All to share next report with CNO, due January 6th 2014
