Rules and Procedures

Entering the Classroom Enter the room SILENTLY, get out needed materials and IMMEDIATELY begin the warm-up.

Warm-UPs All warm-ups are to be dated & organized in the Math composition notebook. You are to copy and answer all warm-up questions.

Notes Need to be dated & organized in the Math composition notebook. Copy all the needed information Make sure graphic organizers stay in place

Notebooks You will need a 1 inch 3 ring binder for Math Included in the notebook will be Worksheets Graded Work Other

Pencils ONLY!!!! Your are required to come to class prepared. Always do EVERY assignment in pencil!!!! Failure to do assignments in pencil will result in 10 points being deducted from your grade. MECHANICAL PENCILS!!!!!! DON’T run out of lead and disturb the class.

Assignments All assignments should be headed properly. Include: Name Date Period Page # /Name of Assignment

Homework Policy To be good at sports, you must practice. To be good at math, you must practice. Practice makes perfect!!!! Homework will be given 2-5 times a week. Look at the bottom left corner of the board Look on the HCCMS math calendar. Remind 101

Tutoring We all need help sometimes!!!! Tutoring will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00-3:30 Please give some advanced notice

Make-UP Work We all have to be absent sometimes. When you are….. You will have 5 days to complete the missed work and turn it in without penalty. Check the shelves to the left by the door. Worksheets will be placed in them for all days of the week. Turn in work that you didn’t turn in the day you were gone

**Late Work Policy** 10 points will be deducted per day for any assignment that is turned in late. After the 5th day- no longer accepted

Leaving the Classroom Bathroom emergencies ONLY! You are dismissed by the teacher NOT the bell. Your area must be clean.

FYI: Moving around the room You MUST stay seated during instruction! During class work time, you may sharpen your pencil and get supplies as needed with permission. Pencil Sharpener Rule……..NO LINE!!!!! One person at a time. When they are done, you may get up to sharpen your pencil.

FYI: Tickets Students receive tickets for positively contributing to the classroom in some manner. Students simply write their names on the tickets- these will be collected at the end of class 5 names are drawn on Friday for prizes Ticket bucket is emptied after each drawing

Lining up for Connections/Electives Find your 6th period class on your schedule. Write the color below that corresponds to your class. You will line up behind signs that are these colors. BLUE– PE, Health, Study skills, and Technology (Far side drive way) GREEN – Art, Careers, Drama/Film Making, Foreign Language (Middle of drive way) RED – Band, Chorus/Music, Business Ed, Math Skills (By building).
