The Hearst Foundation The Hearst Foundations fund educational institutions demonstrating uncommon success in preparing students to thrive in a global society. The Foundations’ focus is largely on higher education, but they also fund innovative models of early childhood and K-12 education, as well as professional development. Vulcan Materials Company The Foundation is particularly interested in helping young people and their teachers understand the relevance of math and science to society, and supports efforts to link these subjects to their application in the workplace. The Foundation also will consider programs designed to educate students about the vital role of business and industry in society. Chesapeake Energy STEM Education Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust The TSET Healthy Incentive program offers grants to districts and schools that adopt and implement best and promising practices in tobacco-free environments, nutrition, physical activity and employee wellness. All public school districts that meet grant criteria are eligible to apply for a TSET Healthy District Incentive grant. School districts must successfully adopt health-promoting policies before individual schools sites are eligible to apply. Policy requirements for the TSET Healthy Incentive grants help to create a learning environment that establishes and supports healthy behaviors for students, teachers and staff. Sonic Corporation We have elected to make the greatest impact by being very focused on efforts that support educational opportunities for youth between the ages of 4-22 within the state of Oklahoma.
