Choosing to Live Alcohol Free Chapter 21 Lesson #2 Pg. 572 - 577

Objectives Objective #1: Describe the factors that influence alcohol use. Objective #2: Identify the risks of alcohol use. Objective #3: Describe the benefits of living alcohol-free. Objective #4: Apply ways to refuse alcohol use.

Factors that influence alcohol use Peer Pressure Family Media Messages Activity: Discuss with a partner 2 ways each of these can encourage someone to drink 1 way each of these can discourage someone to drink. List on the Front dry erase board how they can encourage. List on the back board how they can discourage.

Risks of Alcohol Use pgs. 573-575 Read pages 573-575 and in your opinion, what is the greatest risk for using alcohol. Then, Get into groups of 3 to 4 Each group member shares what they feel is the greatest risk. Everyone must agree on the greatest risk for use. Be prepared to discuss with the class.
