The Financial Aid Award Notification (FAN) Schedule The Solution Center The Financial Aid Award Notification (FAN) Schedule

Objective What you will you learn TSC staff will be able to know the Financial Aid Award Notification schedule for all students and all terms

NEW Students In order to receive a FAN, New students must: Be accepted into the University Have valid FAFSA on file Meet general eligibility requirements (REF:FA_02_FA_General_Eligibility_Requirements) Resolve any CFlag conflict(s) (ref: FA_18_Cflag_Process_and_Requirements) Complete verification, if selected IMPORTANT: All FYR/TRF students, not selected AND selected for verification, will receive a FAN in the first batch of award notices as long as all other requirements are met. The first batch of FANs generally runs the third week of March. After the first batch of award letters are processed, all students must complete verification prior to receiving a FAN.

RETURNING Students In order to receive a FAN, Returning students must: Be enrolled for the upcoming semester Have valid FAFSA on file Meet general eligibility requirements (REF:FA_02_FA_General_Eligibility_Requirements) Resolve any CFlag conflict(s) (REF: FA_18_Cflag_Process_and_Requirements) Complete verification, if selected Meet SAP standards (REF: FA_20_SAP_Policy)

FAN Cycle FAN Schedule for Traditional Academic Year: (fall and spring)   New students = Begins the end of March Ret students = Begins the end of June (after spring grades are posted)   FAN Schedule for January Admits:   New students = Begins Mid-November FAN Schedule for summer semester:   New/Ret students = Begins Mid-May

FAN Cycle (cont.) FANs run on a weekly basis through the semester   Please note: Students must be actively enrolled to be considered for aid. Students cannot apply for aid in a prior term once they cease enrollment.
