Teacher “Approval” Courses * Classes with a (*) require advanced approval. To take one of these courses, you MUST complete the Signature form. All honors courses require a signature from your current teacher. All AP courses require application and signature from teacher/parent/student.

Go to http://laurelhscounseling.weebly.com and Click on Scheduling & Registration.

Registration Process Students get required signatures from teachers for Honors and AP classes and turn in to the Counseling Office by: February 15 – Juniors February 19 – Freshman & Sophomores Career & Technical Education Applications – due by March 12. Apply online at: https://www.pgcps.org/cte/ Accuplacer Testing Permission Slips due by February 15

Registration Timeline Registration: February 19 – March 28 Schedule Adjustments: March 28 – June 14 or last day of school (see counselor for change) No schedule changes in the Fall Official Schedules: First day of school 2019 Diversity: Staff: 58% White 41% African-American 1% Hispanic 1% Asian Students: 2100 66% African-American 21% White 7% Hispanic 5% Asian Consistent Performance: Rank in the top three P.G. schools for attendance, SAT scores, and HSA SAT scores: increased 28 points from 936 to 964. Special Programs: UHS & International Baccalaureate

SCHEDULE CHANGES Schedules will NOT BE adjusted in the Fall for the following: 1. Preference for a different teacher. 2. Preference for a different period or semester. 3. Preference to be with friends in class. 4. CHANGE OF MIND ABOUT TAKING THE COURSE. * All exceptional or unusual circumstances concerning scheduling must be evaluated by the counselor and/or the principal.
