Announcing the February 2019 Grant Cycle Robert E. Leet and Clara Guthrie Patterson Trust Mentored Research Award Clinical, Health Services and Policy Research Bank of America, N.A., Trustee Announcing the February 2019 Grant Cycle Overview: The Robert E. Leet and Clara Guthrie Patterson Trust was created in 1980 to support research “relating to human diseases, their causes and relief.” The primary goal of the Program is to support research that focuses on the causes of human disease and/or improving treatment. To achieve this goal the Patterson Trust supports mentored clinical investigators in the early stages of their research careers to promote the pursuit of academic research careers as successful independent investigators. The Program supports innovative research and pilot studies spanning a broad range of disciplines including both patient-oriented clinical research and translational laboratory research. Seery Foundation. . Eligibility: Work in a non-profit academic, medical or research institution in the states of Connecticut, New Jersey or Rhode Island Be mentored by a senior scientist with an active research program where the Applicant will be conducting research Applicants with clinical responsibilities may have worked no more than five years since completion of training Applicants without clinical responsibilities must have a minimum of three years but no more than six years of full-time postdoctoral research Some concurrent funding is permitted (see Guidelines) U.S. citizenship or visa documentation is not required The Patterson Trust Awards Program is managed by The Medical Foundation at Health Resources in Action, Boston, MA
