What has the Board been doing? Every Board Member acts a liaison to one or more of our seven (7) standing and three (3) special committees. Assist committees with questions and issues. Created Project Tracking Sheets to better inform the Board of project completion status for a committee. This form should help both the committee and the Board keep projects on track so that deadlines will be met. Review the IFTA Inc. budget and set the budget for the coming year. As a Board, it is our responsibility to review the budget and look for areas of cost savings.

What has the Board been doing? Review the Strategic Plan at each Board meeting in order to evaluate and update the various action plans as required. The goals and resulting objectives of the organization continue to focus on: Partnerships Management of IFTA INC. Utilizing technology Assertively pursuing compliance Education and awareness

What has the Board been doing? Current Projects to Meet Goals: Full implementation of the Clearinghouse - Funds Netting implemented Jan/10 Computer-based training for jurisdictions – first Webinars held for Audit (Oct/09) & Clearinghouse (Nov & Dec/09) Investigating and analyzing the capabilities of GPS and other electronic positioning systems Finalizing the combined IFTA/IRP Review project Develop an audit strategy for the future – Board established the Re-Audit & Re-Examination Working Group

What has the Board been doing? Current Projects to Meet Goals cont’d: Conducting electronic IFTA program compliance reviews – 5 reviews completed Developing a best practices guide for IFTA committee chairs Continue to pursue roadside enforcement opportunities Improving communications with committee chairs – committee chairs attended the 4Q09 Board meeting
