Presentation transcript:

Elements 21-30

21 Sc Scandium: Silvery, white transition metal. Very rare. 22 Ti Titanium: transition metal that helps produce alloys that are strong and lightweight, often used in aerospace. 23 V Vanadium: Transition metal named after the Scandinavian Goddess of beauty. 24 Cr Chromium: Transition metal used in everyday flatware. Added to steel to make stainless steel. 25 Mn Manganese: Transition metal used or helping to control rust and corrosion.

26 Fe Iron: Transition metal, which is the most widely used 27 Co Cobalt: Cobalt based paints and pigments are used for a wide variety of things, such as Jewelry. 28 Ni Nickel: Transition metal used in coins, magnets and everyday household utensils. 29 Cu Copper: Transition metal with a pinkish color. It has a very high thermal and electrical conductivity. 30 Zn Zinc: An important transition metal that is an essential biological element.
