COLLEGE Admissions (A-G) Subject Minimum Requirements Must earn Cs or higher A   History/Social Science - 2 years B   English - 4 years      C   Mathematics - 3 years complete through IM 3 ( 4 years strongly recommended) D   Lab Science - 2 years (3 years strongly recommended) E   Language Other Than English (LOTE) - 2 years same language F   Visual and Performing Art (VAPA) - 1 year G   Academic Elective - 1 year

SAT/ACT Students should take the SAT and/or the ACT for the first time spring junior year. SAT tests May 4 (deadline to register April 5) & June 1 (deadline to register May 3). Register on line at www.collegeboard.org Use your PSAT scores to help you prepare for the SAT by reviewing your answers & accessing Khan Academy. ACT test June 8 (deadline to register May 3) & July 13 (deadline to register June 14). Register on line at www.act.org Differences/similarities between ACT vs. SAT ACT: Science, math, reading, English, curriculum based, no penalty for wrong answers, all multiple choice, writing essay is optional, perfect score is 36 SAT: Reading, math, writing & language tests, continued emphasis on reasoning with a stronger focus on knowledge skills, no penalty for wrong answers, writing essay is optional, perfect score is 1600, SAT was revised in March 2016 and is now more similar than different from the ACT Competing testing companies, both tests are accepted at virtually all universities

Summer School First Priority: Remediate failing grades/short credits to graduate Second Priority: Remediate D grades/impacted schedule Deadline April 12, 2019 Del Campo High School (teacher lead, seat based) Session 1: June 17-July 5, 2019; Session 2: July 8-July 26, 2019 Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Will Rogers Middle School (independent study/online classes) Session 1: June 17-July 5, 2019; Session 2: July 8-July 26, 2019 El Camino (online, seat based, English & history only) Session 1: June 17-July 5, 2019 Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. If a student is in the first priority the summer school form is attached to their registration; 2nd priority forms are available in the counseling office.

Senior Course Planner Sheet and Sample Schedule Matrix To be on track for graduation in 2020, you must have 130 or more credits. If you have fewer credits, you need to meet with your counselor regarding credit recovery options. Must currently have 150 or more credits to request an open 1st or 6th. Seniors can be a TA for one period.
