People have often worked together to collect and save the world’s art treasures. Fine art treasure from many countries are kept in an art museum called the Louvre in Paris, France. The works of art have been collected by the people of France over many centuries. I T A L 4.0

It began as a fortress on the outskirt of Paris in 1190. The French King Auguste decided to build defensive walls around the city of Paris. The Louvre was the western bulwark of those walls.
