Student Experience

Video about Oamk LABs Short version (3 min), long version (7 min)

Christina social work Austria “ DevLAB was an experience I don’t want to miss. In this 4 month I learned so many interesting things in an exciting way. Socialising with people all over the world, getting new sides of thinking and exchanging ideas with different professionals shaped me and my future working skills. Christina pitching her team´s product Tilia, app for families with challenges. Most of all I liked that I got pushed and challenged to develop myself during the whole process. I would join DevLAB again in any time.”

Jana Occupational therapy Belgium “ Lab-studies were totally new for me, because it doesn't exist in my country.  As an OT you have to do a lot of group- and teamwork.  In DevLAB I explored my personal skills and grown by working on a project with totally different disciplines. During the exploration I learned to believe more in myself and be more confident. It's a learning process with falling and getting up again, because of the falling I remember those parts and learn from it. “ Jana and Naomi (OT) working for Polar Bear Pitching-event Most of all I liked that I got pushed and challenged to develop myself during the whole process. I would join DevLAB again in any time.”

Alex and Grace (graphical design, UK), pitching their product Spectrum “I was confused and sceptical at the same time since I did not particularly understand what DevLAB stood for. Alex Physiotherapy Romania I was surprised to find out that it wasn't building an app that was the important part, but finding creative solutions to somewhat tricky problems and how me/you as a person can use not only our knowledge from our studies but implement all that we learn throughout.“ It's a learning process with falling and getting up again, because of the falling I remember those parts and learn from it. “ Alex and Grace (graphical design, UK), pitching their product Spectrum

Business Information Systems Harri Business Information Systems Finland Picture: Team Spectrum from DevLAB organizing event in Osako Wappy Rally I can honestly recommend DevLAB for everyone. It has been a great experience from day 1. I have learned a lot. Dive deep into DevLab's fail fast, learn fast attitude.

project that really inspired Grace Graphical Design Ireland DevLAB has been a wonderful experience for me. I got to work on a project that really inspired me and my designs. I got the opportunity to create the full branding of a company which was amazing for me. I not only improved my own design skills but my public speaking, presenting and team work skills. I would recommend DevLAB to everyone! Grace and Harri (Business Information Systems, Finland) preparing for pitching and organize after party of Midnight Pitch-fest 2016

Information Technology Koen Information Technology Belgium Don’t sit around to wait for opportunities, but go for it. Work on the project stuff you like to work, make that happen, before it’s too late, Surround yourself with people with the same mentality or perspective. Stay open towards others and what their opinion is so that you learn from them how to or not to do things. Improve your skills.

Business Information Systems Anni Business Information Systems Finland The most important thing in DevLAB was the different way of working… learning by doing was great option for me. It was fun to work as a group and solve problems and create new things together. 5 months went very fast!
