Course Selection Steps for Students 2018/2019 Choosing, Reviewing, and Submitting your courses on myBlueprint

Activating your account… If you have not activated your account….go to the school/YRDSB website. Click on Provide your school username and password. Your account is now activated. Note for counsellors: Your school board/division may have it’s own myBlueprint landing page, which includes a list of schools in the New User box. If you’re not sure whether your school has a landing page or an activation key, contact support@myBlueprint.ca

STEP 1: Login to your myBlueprint account via The Log In button

STEP 2: From the Dashboard, click on Plan Courses

STEP 3: Add courses to your High School Plan STEP 3: Add courses to your High School Plan. Click on + Course to select from courses at your school. Note for counsellors: Compulsory courses are indicated by + Subject (ie. + English) Boxes for elective courses are indicated by + Course

Choosing Courses Step 2: Within the subject area, choose the course you wish to take by clicking the “Add Course” button below the description. Step 1: Click on the + next to the course/subject being selected

Adding Music Repertoire……… Step 1: Complete course selection for all 8 courses. Add Course will automatically appear. Check that you have chosen the correct music for grade 9. Click on the to view the Guidance description

Adding Music Repertoire cont… Step 3: Click on the correct Repertoire Step 2: Click on Add Course Step 2: Click on Repertoire and the Repertoire options appear Step 4: Repertoire is added.

Adding ESL….. Step 1: Click on English Step 2.: Click on English to open other Discipline option choices Step 3: From the Discipline options choose English as a second language Step 4: Choose an ESL course for each semester

Changing your course selection….. If you need to change your course selection, click on and the options of Edit, Change and Delete will appear. Change – will allow you to change the choice within the discipline Delete – will allow you to change the discipline choice -

STEP 4: Click on Review Course Selections to review your chosen courses

STEP 5: Click Submit Course Selections to submit courses to your school Scroll to the bottom to add comments Note for Counsellors: You may have enabled additional fields such as Student Comments, or Pathway of Interest. If so, students will find these options here.

STEP 6: Click Print Sign-Off Sheet Note for counsellors: You can disable the sign off sheet under Configure Course Selection settings in your account. If so, you can remove this slide.

If you are not returning to YRDSB…. If you are not returning to a YRDSB school, you must click on the “Not returning next year?” to inform the system that you will be leaving. You will be asked to provide a reason for your departure. A list of options will appear. Please click on the correct option.

Things to remember… Course Selection submission opens at ………. 9:00 a.m. on February 11, 2019 Grade 8 students must choose 8 courses from the grade 9 course options Repertoire Music or Vocal can be chosen as a 9th option All students must choose French in the course selection unless determined by IPRC paperwork Students selecting ESL as directed by their teacher must choose ESL for each semester, unless ELSEO1 is their first option. All students must choose 2 Alternative Courses If you are not returning to a YRDSB school, you must click on “Not returning next year?”
