The Republic came after the monarchy and lasted 500 years. The republic ended with the death of Julius Caesar. The republic had 3 parts. The United States is a republic. The 3 parts of the Republic were: consuls, senate, and assembly. The consuls was like the president. There were 2 consuls. The senate represented the patricians. The patricians were the rich people. The assembly represented the plebeians. The plebeians were the poor and middle class. The plebeians had the least power.
