The CNCAN Knowledge Portal CNCAN is the national regulatory authority responsible with the regulation, authorisation and control of all nuclear activities developed on the Romanian territory. In order to face the new trends related to the development of nuclear sector and for alignment to the international practices in nuclear safety area, CNCAN aims to enhance its regulatory functions in the area of nuclear safety. The CNCAN Knowledge Portal Taking into account that safety assessment competence is key for the right decisions in the licensing of design, siting, construction, commissioning and operation of the nuclear installations, CNCAN gives a high priority to increase the capacity building and enhance the competences of its staff. In this respect, our recruitment and staff training policy is based on the requirements of the international concept on systematic approach training. The training activity is integrated in the CNCAN management system developed and implemented in accordance with the provisions of the international standards.
