Language Arts – Work Session 05/10/18 Essential Questions: Why do we have controversy in society? How do we communicate in order to convince others? Standard: ELASE6L6 – Acquire and use accurately grade-appropriate general academic and domain-specific words and phrases; gather vocabulary knowledge when considering a word or phrase important to comprehension or expression. Learning Targets: Identify claims. Elect your position on these claims. Support your claim with logical reasoning and relevant evidence.

Language Arts – Work Session 05/10/18 Destination: 2024 Once you have finished your entire packet, bring it to me to sign off on. Once your packet has been signed off on, you may THEN AND ONLY THEN begin to gather images for your poster. Once you have all of your images in your 365 Word document, then you may work on the fonts sizes and styles. Font sizes and styles tips: For large boards – use size 12-14 fonts (16 is ok, too) For small/medium boards – use size 12 fonts Be sure your font is legible!!! Don’t use unnecessary page breaks. It wastes paper! Your goal is to fit everything between 6-10 sheets of paper!
