Presentation transcript:

Changes for 2009 There are no more minimum amount of races to receive rankings. The adjusted value per race group is now just the event value + the place points (see chart). There is no age group levels. Rankings are now only done by what state the rider is in and then by their age and category. Cat 1/2/3/4/5 for Road in states, Cat 1/2/3 for Mountain, with pro’s ranked nationally on the MTB and NRC calendar, and National Championships Calendar.

Road Event Value Level Chart Road Event Value Level Chart Point Level   UCI/Pro Tour 100 NRC Tiered 1/National Championships 75 NRC Tiered 2 50 NRC Tiered 3 40 State/Regional Championships 35 A Permitted Events 30 B Permitted Events 25 C Permitted Events 20 D Permitted Events 15 E Permitted Events 10

Mountain Event Value Level Chart Mountain Event Value Level Chart Point Level National Championship 100 UCI 75 Mountain Bike National Calendar 50 AMBC 40 State Championships/Regional Championships 35 A Permitted Events 30 B Permitted Events 25 C Permitted Events 20 D Permitted Events 15 E Permitted Events 10

Example A rider race in a race with a event value level of 50. He placed 4th in the race. This rider would receive 100 points for this race. Event Value level + place points= riders points 50 + 50= 100

National Calendars If a race is on any of the National Calendar’s the results must be submitted to USAC within 24 hours after the close of the event. Prefer that results are submitted directly online. Must be in the proper USA Cycling approved format.

Where to send the results The most effective and efficient way to submit results is to do so directly online. In order to submit results you must have an account with USA Cycling. This allows us to establish a login and password exclusively for you. Please note that a racing license is not required to be able to submit results. The steps below will help guide you in the submission process.   Step 1. Log on to www.usacycling.org Step 2. Create a “My Page Account with login and password Step 3 Under “USA Cycling Tools” click on “Submit Race Results Step 4 Enter event name or ID Step 5 Confirm your event Step 6 Choose one of two methods to submit results and follow the listed instructions. By submitting online, results will be immediately posted to the USA Cycling website and automatically calculated into the National Results & Rankings. The other way to submit them is to email them directly to rankings@usacycling.org. The results submission format can be found by going to https://www.usacycling.org/news/user/story.php?id=622 and clicking on Mountain or USCF results example.
