Monday, May 14th 2018 Opening Warm-up: What do you know or think you know about the physical geography (land and water features) and human geography (culture and people) of Oceania & Antarctica? Oceania includes: Australia, New Zealand, and all islands in the Pacific Ocean, including the Hawaiian Islands. Please create a T-Chart to organize your ideas. Work Session: Make-ups & Recoveries for Unit 7 Test over Monsoon Asia There will be no pre-test for this unit Individual Mapping Assignment over Unit 8 – Oceania & Antarctica Introductory Reading & Note-taking assignment – pgs. 468-475 As you read, take at least two notes per sub-heading. For example, for pg. 469 you should have two notes for the Physical Features of Oceania & two notes for the Physical Features of Antarctica. All told, you should have 24 total notes. Closing Cool-down: Please list at least one new thing you learned about the physical AND human geography of Oceania & Antarctica today from the warm-up, mapping assignment, and introductory reading and note-taking.
