Use of a prone transfer technique in patients with severe hip-flexion restrictions: a report of 3 cases1  Ying Guo, MD, Bilal F Shanti, MD, Shaun D Lehmann, MD, Eduardo Bruera, MD  Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation  Volume 84, Issue 6, Pages 912-914 (June 2003) DOI: 10.1016/S0003-9993(02)04947-X

Fig 1 Prone transfer technique. (A) The patient first moves from the supine position to the prone position then (B) the transfer board is placed between the patient and the bed. (C) The patient then moves to a diagonal position across the bed. The patient is instructed to tilt the transfer board upward until his/her feet touch the ground. (D) The patient is then pushed up into a standing position, while keeping the hip extended. Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation 2003 84, 912-914DOI: (10.1016/S0003-9993(02)04947-X)
