Goals

Why Do We Set Goals? To set a standard to reach and strive for. To develop a picture of what success looks like. To give ourselves a measuring stick with which we can measure our success. To help determine when and where we are falling behind and need to give greater effort and work.

Did you set goals for your District? Reach your District Membership Quota? Achieve Star District? All-Star District? At least one council achieve ICC Gold? All Councils Achieve ICC Bronze or higher?

What are your Councils’ Goals? Achieve Star Council? Double or Triple Star? Achieve ICC Gold Recognition? Silver or Bronze? Earn the Columbian Award for their Programs? Finish the Year with Positive Membership Growth? Not be noticed by the State Officers?

Setting S.M.A.R.T Goals Smart Goals Specific Measurable Achievable Realistic Without goals, our path has no destination Time Sensitive

Leadership in Goal Setting Use your District Meetings as annual planning and goal setting meetings. Help your councils establish realistic goals for membership intake, programs, donations, etc. Use your DD Report to each council to remind them of their priorities. Know and evaluate Star Council and ICC Progress of each of your councils.

Positive Attitude “Our lives are not determined by what happens to us, but by how we react to what happens; … not by what life brings to us, but by the attitude we bring to life. A Positive Attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events and outcomes. It’s a catalyst… a spark that can create extraordinary results.”
