Fun figurative language. By : Kayla. V.

simile :A figure of speech where two unlike things are compared using “like” or “as” She shone as bright as the sun.

Metaphor: A phrase for one thing used for another. He is a monkey with fruit.

Hyperbole: An expression used as a figure of speech. She was so tall she could touch Pluto.

Alliteration : A repetition of the beginning sound with the first 3 letters of the sentence the same. Carmel colored cats cater Carla's communion.

Idiom: Set phrase with a special meaning. On pins and needles: means Nervous.

Personification : Giving an inanimate object lifelike qualities. The wind whistled through the trees.
