Fishing rod I think a fishing rod is my number one choice if I was Brian . in Hatchet Brian had to strive for food every day. if I was like Brian I would hate to do that. With a fishing rod and the fact he was by a lake makes the fishing rod a great choice.

Gun As my second choice I would pick a gun. A gun would protect Brian from animals both large and small. if it was a flare gun Brain would be able to start a signal when help came searching for him.

Tent I would pick a tent as my third option if was stranded . Brain could have used the tent to his advantage by sealing up the hole in the front because in his old shelter the front was open and animals were able to come and go freely when ever they desire .

Map I chose a map for my forth item because when the plane crashed he did not know where he was . the map really would have helped him . when he went out to go get food he always had to keep the lake at his left side but the map would Have changed that.

First aid kit I would pick a first aid kit as my fifth choice. When he got hit with quills from a porcupine he could of used some kind of anti biotic cream so he could be sure he would not get A DESISE.

GUN SHELLS Gun shells would be my sixth choice. BECAUSE GOING BACK TO THE GUN IF YOU AREADY USED YOUR ORIGIANL GUN SHELLS THAT CAME IN THE GUN you could still get food from the animals around the area.

Compass Going with the map when the plane was flying with the pilot dead Brian said that the plane had assumed a whole new coarse. He could have used the Compass to see where the plane was going.

axe Brain could Have used the axe when he was making his new shelter. then Brain had to carry the wood all the way to the shelter. Also in the shelter for his storage shelf he had to go and get wood that was already chopped
