National and State Animals Name: Date: Many countries, states, and territories have official state animals that they have chosen to represent their area. For example, Puerto Rico’s official animal is the coqui frog, which seems to say its own name when it chirps! Find the official animals for the following places, and answer the accompanying questions. Have fun! What is China’s national animal? What is one fact about that animal? What is one adjective that effectively describes this animal? If you had to re-name this animal to match the sounds it makes, what would you call it?  What is Belize’s national animal? What is Canada’s national animal? What is Spain’s national animal? What is Bolivia’s national animal? If you had to choose one animal to represent you, which animal would you choose? What is one fact about this animal? If you had to re-name this animal to match the sounds it makes, what would you call it? Write at least 100 words about why you think this animal represents you well.
