Early Years Inclusion Fund (EYIF) What is the EYIF? Why is it needed? Is it effective?

EYIF Evaluation Study and Report Overview of the study and the findings: Quantitative information – number of children and settings supported and evidence of progress made -child outcomes Qualitative information - Practitioner and Parents Questionnaires and case studies Overall benefits & recommendations

Number of children and EY Settings supported : Sept 2011 - April 2014 Year New requests Continuing/ Reviews Total PVI Settings School nurseries 2011/12 (2 terms) 22 11 33 16 17 2012/13 (3 terms) 23 37 60 31 29 2013/14 46 64 110 70 40 Totals 91 112 203 117 86 These figures show the actual number of children supported each term , some children were supported for more than one term (1-5 terms) and some settings had funding for more than 1 child. Actual number supported = 78, in 43 different EY settings (15 school nurseries, 14 pvi day nurseries, 14 preschool playgroups)
