1. Context against what the thesis is set You need to specify the following information: Who you are and where you work: e.g. a staff in a comany titled ABC… What the situation is: e.g. In the past years of downturn global economy, ABC company has achieved great growth in the international market with a very high profit (over 20% of revenue), however, the company also meets some challenge, the biggest challenge is international business risk management, which the company suffered a lot in the past, especially in foreign exchange loss. 2

2. Problem and its analysis You need to specify the following information: The problem: e.g. ABC Company’s business revenues are settled mainly in US dollars and Euro. It is known that US dollar and Euro are being depreciated against RMB for a long time since 2008. ABC Company has suffered huge losses. The analysis of the problem: e.g. 2.1 Current business situation analysis 2.2 Customer needs and wants analysis 2.3 SWOT analysis 3

3 . Project objective and hypothesis You need to specify the following information: Project objective(s): e.g. The goal of this project is to manage foreign exchange risk effectively, to take designated action to manage foreign exchange in order to reduce our loss, to achieve stable cash flow movement for the company, to minimum international engineering profit fluctuation, to balance foreign currency debit and credit on yearly balance sheet of the company. Project hypothesis: e.g. It is hypothesized that if all purchasing are paid by RMB, other overheads are paid by USD or Euro, the lossese will be greatly reduced. 4
