What did Ponyboy mean when he considered, “Sixteen…you want to see”? He is reflecting on Johnny’s tough life but really it encompasses all the Greasers, they have all had to grow up too fast. He and Johnny have seen violence, and crime, and murder in their sixteen years but they haven’t seen so many other things

Chapter 8 Questions 3. Why does Johnny not want to see his mother? He figures she’s there to tell him that he’s causing her trouble and how glad she and his dad will be when he’s dead.
