What is the commitment like? •Wando Cheerleading is a year- long sport –Fall season- all football games, rigorous practices (mandatory), competitions –Winter- all basketball games, few practices (need basis) –Appearances •Seeking athletes who can be dedicated to this team as much as we are.

Tryout Process We will no longer be accepting video submissions. Unless you are a current 6th grader (state rule) Athletes must attend tryouts in order to be evaluated on their skills Athletes must perform the skill they wish to receive points for Athletes should only perform skills in which they have been trained to do independently. There will not be spotting Tryout Dates: April 8th-11th

Tryout Process continued…... •Tryout days are as follows: –Day 1 (4/8)→ learn the material (cheer & dance) –Day 2 (4/9)→ Stunting –Day 3 (4/10)→ Stunting –Day 4 (4/11)→ Final evaluation- Cheer, Chant, Dance, Jumps, tumbling (by number 1-? Time slots) –Results posted Friday April 12th after school :)

If selected... There will be a varsity team and a junior varsity team selected for BOTH the fall and winter athletic seasons. This will be released on April 12th Practices start April 16th There will also be a competition team. This is a combination of both varsity and jv girls. This selection will be made later. Depends on the organization of safe and compatible, stunt groups There are 24 girls that compete on the mat. 6 flyers, 6 backspots, 12 bases. There will also be alternates.

Basic Expectations •Attend all practices •Attend all events •Attend all mandatory practices •Attend all games (football & basketball) •Be on time and in correct outfits :)
