Node-Voltage and dependent sources Quiz 2 Chapter 4-3 Node-Voltage and dependent sources Quiz 2

Applying the node-voltage method to circuits that contain dependent sources requires the addition of a constraint equation imposed by the dependent source

You Do

You Do

Special Case, when a voltage source is the only element between two essential nodes

How many essential nodes? How many unknown voltages?

Treat the dependent source as a current, since we do not know the voltage.

Or we can treat nodes 2 and 3 as a super node, and write the equations at the super node, in terms of nodes 2 and 3 in this case

You do

You do

What you should know Node-Voltage method with dependent sources
