Overview Touchscreen driver display for PSR's new vehicle: Navitas Communicates with other on-board systems Provides continuous vehicle diagnostics Controls various essential vehicle functions Relays data to the sidelines for                    monitoring and analysis Testing in existing car: Celeritas

Block Diagram

PSSCs 1. An ability to track vehicle location through GPS. 2.      An ability to receive and send CAN messages from and to other systems in the car. 3.      An ability to display graphics on the LCD display. 4.      An ability to respond to user input using a touchscreen. 5.      An ability to store and load data to and from non-volatile memory.

Patent #7,265,663—Multimedia Racing Experience System A multimedia system for monitoring performance of a vehicle from the following devices: Camera Microphone Telemetry device Encodes the data and sends it to an external processing unit

Patent #7,158,912—Mobile GPS systems for providing location mapping and/or performance data Maps the users progress and stores it through RF to the base station for later analysis Allows for instant feedback via headphones worn by the user Base station can be hooked up to the internet to transmit the data

Literal Infringement Concerns Intaking data from vehicle and displaying which is similar to Patent #7,265,663 Similarities— Both process telemetry data Both prepare the data to be exported by an external device for data (Internet Modem or External Memory) Differences— Have different types of input (Telemetry data through CAN protocol vs Camera, Microphone) Encode and display the information within the device, not requiring any external processing units

Doctrine of Equivalents Concerns Receiving GPS information and displaying/storing the information which is simliar to Patent #7,158,912 Similarities Take in GPS data, display data with map, allow storing of data to memory Differences Requires a base station Provides more detailed information, such as altitude of jumps and hang time Allows for data feedback to be given over a headset

Changes Required No real changes required Project is a unique blend of functions not currently found in patents
