Week 27 Science and Social Studies

Monday’s Lesson Learning Goal: Students will be able to identify beneficial and harmful properties of the Sun and investigate how sunlight warms objects, land, air, and water. Standard: SC.1.E.5.4: (DOK 2) Identify the beneficial and harmful properties of the Sun.

Turn and Talk: What does the sun give us that is necessary for all life? What do you think would happen if we did not have the sun?

Tuesday’s Lesson Learning Goal: Students will be able to identify beneficial and harmful properties of the Sun and investigate how sunlight warms objects, land, air, and water. Standard: SC.1.E.5.4: (DOK 2) Identify the beneficial and harmful properties of the Sun.

Turn and Talk: Why is the sun harmful? Provide some examples.
