Plants: which one is it? Answer A = bean B = garlic C = basil D = cactus E = tulip

Plants: what are they like? Take notes about each plant. Just simple notes – nouns, verbs, adjectives. Dictate now your notes and lets write full sentences!! Would you like to see the original texts? Read them and compare your version to the original ones.

Plants: which one is it? Bean The plant grows very quickly. It has a stick in the pot to climb on. It has red flowers and then green pods. I sometimes use the seeds from the pods in the kitchen.

Plants: which one is it? Garlic I grow the plant from a clove. The leaves are long and narrow. I cut the leaves and use them on sandwiches. They taste milder than the cloves. I also use the cloves for cooking.

Plants: which one is it? Basil The plant has shiny green leaves. The leaves have a very pleasant and sweet taste. I add them to salads and other dishes. I water the plant very often. It likes sunlight.

Plants: which one is it? Cactus Its a desert plant. It needs very little water, especially in the winter. It likes a lot of sunlight. It has no leaves, but a thick stem with spines.

Plants: which one is it? Tulip Its a spring plant. It has a tall stem and a large bright flower shaped like a cup. I grow the plant from a bulb. The plant doesn`t like it when it is too hot.

Plants: a guessing game Everybody chooses a plant in secret. Then, your partner will ask five questions to learn which plant you have chosen. You can only answer YES or NO. You can count one point for each YES you get.
