Remove everything that is not a pencil from your desk. Clear Your Desks Remove everything that is not a pencil from your desk.

Maniac Magee Part 2 Test Try your best! Flip your test and answer sheet over when done. I will collect them once everyone has finished.

New York Times What’s happening: Inside Mattel’s sprawling test lab here, scores of technicians are doing their worst: setting Chicken Dance Elmo dolls on fire, wrecking Hot Wheels cars and yanking at the limbs of Dora the Explorer. The lab workers are paid to break toys, pick apart their innards, and analyze the raw materials that go into them. Write about how you react to this picture now that you know what is going on.

Word Generation – Should the Nfl require the washington redskins to change their name? Make sure to COMPLETELY answer the question. Use the five words from this week plus five from any other week: Derogatory – insulting or disrespectful towards a person or group of people Stereotype – (verb) to mentally classify an entire group using a single characteristic; (noun) an unfair or untrue belief about an entire group of people Connotation – the feeling or association suggested by a word Slur – an insulting or disrespectful name or remark Stigmatize – to label or brand negatively Once you are finished, turn it in to the pink bucket.
