CITY OF WINDOM POSITION DESCRIPTION Position Title: Part-Time Community Center Maintenance/Custodian Supervised By: Community Center Director Salary Range: Grade 1 Hours of work: The hours of employment are varied. Hours of anticipated employment will consist of a combination· of afternoons, evenings, weekend and holidays. JOB SUMMARY Under the direction of the Community Center Director & Maintenance/Custodian Supervisor. This Maintenance/Custodian position requires exceptional maintenance skills, maintenance/custodial work to provide building and grounds maintenance support ofequipment and operations of the Community Center. Supervision received: Works under the general and administrative supervision of the Community Center Director & Maintenance/Custodian Supervisor. Supervision Exercised: None. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Responsible for participating in cleaning and maintenance procedures and routines for the Community Center to provide a decent, safe, and sanitary facility. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing. Possession or the ability to possess a Minnesota drivers license. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. TYPICAL DUTIES PERFORMED Responsible for maintenance and general condition of the Community Center & grounds to provide a safe, clean and efficient operation. Basic knowledge of mechanical, sound and electrical system and ability to resolve maintenance problems.

Become proficient in all aspects of equipment through out the facility. Complete training for all equipment and safety efforts relating to the Community Center and its staff. Maintains a variety of maintenance records and prepares reports as needed. Provide assistance in coordinating scheduling of setup, maintenance and cleaning of the Community Center facility and grounds. Maintain strong, cooperative and positive relationships with other city departments. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public and to deal with public relation problems courteously and tactfully. Perform related duties as apparent or assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum requirement: High school diploma or equivalent. Approved on behalf of Personnel Committee Date
