Facial expression is one of the most important and representative basis to differ emotions of human beings.

Seven prototypical emotions The facial action coding system (FACS) proposed by Ekman’s team defines 44 types of AUs. Each AU is related to one or more facial muscles. Then a particular emotion can be described with one or several combinations of AUs.
