I. What is KOCW? KOCW (Korea Open CourseWare) is a nation-wide educational contents sharing service for Higher Education in Korea Developed and being operated by Korea Education & Research Information Service (KERIS) since its launch in 2007

I. What is KOCW? KERIS is a government agency under the Ministry of Education and Science & Technology in Korea Founded in 1999, KERIS has contributed to Higher Education in Korea by promoting intelligent use of Information Technology

In 2007, began with federated search for 200 courseware and related documents located at 40 universities In 2009, increased its contents by app. 700 courseware of more than 70 major universities in Korea Established to upload ocw contents produced by government funded project for higher education to KOCW Developed collaborative spaces (OpenLab) for learners and educators to actively sharing ocw 6/36 6
