Illinois Assessment of Readiness Updates: Testing Window: March 11, 2018 to April 26, 2018 We’re almost there! Next Steps: Superintendent’s Evaluation of Assessment System Can guarantee the content and form of the test will be very similar to last year Have heard concerns over length of math units. We are investigating and will adjust as needed. Analyses of results to see if any post-equating is needed Getting direction from new Superintendent/Board on how to proceed regarding platform vendor.

Please note: Some scores will be released later for reasons that may include participation in the accommodated testing window or on the makeup testing date, late receipt of answer sheets, missing information on the answer sheet, or other exceptional conditions that require additional attention.

DLM-AA Testing ongoing till 5/8/18 Minimal issues reported Consistent over-identification of students Students with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) should never take DLM SLD contains in its definition that students are of average or above average intelligence If your district has a new Special Ed Director or Assessment Coordinator, have them contact lquimby@isbe.net for appropriate identification guidance.

Summative Ratings & Support Official designations were released on Report Card 2018 for school year 2018-2019 Next year’s designation will also be released in October in conjunction with Report Card 2019 for school year 2019-2020 No official decision on how to score climate survey has been adopted Upcoming TAC meeting April 25-26 Minor changes to weights per direction of US Department of Education Comment at https://www.isbe.net/essa Expect communication from ISBE on funding for identified schools, criteria for exiting support, etc. in late May.
