Welcome to Year 2

Prayer Dear Heavenly Father, School has started once again and we praise you for a fresh beginning. May our hearts remember to seek you first each day. We praise you for every individual involved in our education; and we ask for the wisdom, safety and protection only you can give. Thank you for giving us strength to meet new milestones. May we rely on you to help us move peacefully through each routine and to master every challenge. Thank you for loving us and giving us one another. Thank you for the gift of a new school year. Sip & crunch Students to bring fruit, vegetables every morning for Sip & Crunch. A bottle of water is also necessary.

No Party Policy No cake No lollies Teachers reward students with birthday stickers and certificates. Class Birthday buckets are available for purchase from the office (fill out the form in the office). - Birthday buckets include jelly sticks for all students in your child’s class.

Curriculum continued Mathematics/ Numeracy- 1 hour daily Number and Algebra- whole number, addition and subtraction, multiplication and division, fractions and decimals, patterns and algebra Measurement and Geometry- length, area, volume and capacity, mass, time, 3D, 2d and position Statistics and Probability- data and chance.

Curriculum continued From Term 1-4 Assyrian- 3 hours per week Christian Studies- 2 hours per week including Prayers and Hymns. PDHPE, Creative Arts taught 1.5 hours per week. Term 1-Geography Term 2 & 3 - Science and Technology Term 4 – History Curriculum continued
