Our Lady of Persecuted Christians Icon An Icon for each Dioceses The DD’s will have the responsible for their Districts Time at each parish Value the time at each parish THERE ARE THREE ICONS: One Icon will travel each Diocese. One for Grand Island, One for Lincoln and One for Omaha. The Grand Island Icon when finished will be travel to the Omaha Diocese to fill in. The Lincoln Icon will do the same but later. THE DD’s WILL HAVE THE RESPONSIBILTY FOR THEIR DISTRICTS: I hate to put more responsibility on you DD’s. I know how busy you are because I have been their myself. However, no else travels to and knows each parish like you do. If you have a DD in training that would be a good job for them. Easels do not come with the Icon so have one available when you deliver the Icon to a parish. TIME AT EACH PARISH: The Icons will spend between one and two weeks depending on the size of the parish. This is being done because if each parish has it for two weeks we would be 30 weeks short of the two year time frame given to us. A 10 day stay was considered but the scheduling would be a nightmare. If its one or two weeks the transfer can be done each week on the same day. VALUE THE TIME AT EACH PARISH: Let the Priest know the date the Icon will be at each parish. Easels do not come with the Icon make sure to have one available. The Priest may wont to schedule a special Mass or Rosary during its stay. Display the Icon at the entrance of the church on weekends. If the parish has perpetual Adoration the Adoration Chapel would be a good place to display it during the week. KVSS Spirit Catholic Radio Keep the Icon on schedule.
