Enroute to the End During this time, more and more Jews were targeted. If you spread rumors, didn’t do what was asked of you, or hid Jews and were caught, you were punished. Anne Frank hid Jews but was never caught. In 1945, the Berlin Wall that separated the East from the West was tore down. Some parts still stand today as a reminder. 1942-1945

Following the Holocaust, Germans struggle still struggle with their history. The police (Polizei) in Germany take their positions seriously, but you will also find them interacting with tourists.
