Some names are not found on cemetery list or markers, but empty blocks in the cemetery may contain some of the graves. Those that died before 1884 would have been buried at Forest Grove. If the death date was in 1885, they may have been buried at Chemawa. NARA Sandpoint by Cary Collins 3.5 Feet

Sources from NARA say they were unable to locate information on 20 students left blank in the 2002 data compilation. In the 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic, the state of Oregon had a law stating that deaths resulting from the flu had to be buried for a year, the body could be transferred. Records say that In many cases, families sent for the bodies and there is some transfer documentation. The data from GPR survey in 2013 says there are many comparable signatures that may be students who were buried and have no marker or name. 4.5 Feet
