ACE PROJECT UPDATE POINT SUR LE PROJET ACE 6th Supervision Missions to 3 ACEs 3 ACEs underwent site visits on 9-18 January 2019 The centres visited were OAK-PARK; PAMI; and CCBAD. Reports of these visits have been shared with all institutions and centres.

ACE PROJECT UPDATE POINT SUR LE PROJET ACE 6th Supervision Missions to 3 ACEs It was recommended that WB/AAU/NUC should undertake quarterly supervision mission to the PAMI centre to ensure that it addressees all outstanding activities and successfully closes by 31st March 2020.

ACE PROJECT UPDATE POINT SUR LE PROJET ACE 2019 Work & Procurement Plans: *22 ACEs submitted their draft 2019 AWP * Subject matter experts reviewed and WB has so far approved many of them. * Others are either being revised or awaiting clearance from WB. *All 22 procurement plans were submitted by the ACEs and are in the process of being cleared by WB-PP.

ACE PROJECT UPDATE POINT SUR LE PROJET ACE M&E of ACE Project: *Digitisation of M&E Reporting Select ACEs including ACEGID, ACEPRD, CCBAD, CEA-SAMEF, ENSEA, OAU-OAK, WACCBIP and WACCI, were taken through a WeBex training session on how to report results using the new online ACE I reporting system developed by the AAU. * AAU is in discussion with the CEA-SMA on how to collaborate going forward. CEA-SMA has also worked on a similar digital reporting system. * Project progress reports and individual performance briefs have been prepared.

ACE PROJECT UPDATE POINT SUR LE PROJET ACE DLR 2.1 Verification (Short Course Students): * Fifteen (15) ACEs submitted results for short course student enrolments. Verification was done by the AAU and the summary results compiled and shared with Technopolis to be incorporated into results for PhD and Master student enrolments (DLR 2.2 – 2.4). * The ACEs concerned are ACEGID, ACENTDFB, CCBAD, CDA, CEADESE, CEFOR, CERSA, CETIC, ENSEA, OAU-OAK, PAMI, WACCBIP, WACCI, ACEPRD, CEA-SMA

ACE PROJECT UPDATE POINT SUR LE PROJET ACE DLR 2.2 – 2.4 (Masters & PhD Students) * Results for January – December 2018 were submitted by all ACEs for verification. The online verification survey was launched on January 18, 2019 and run for 3 weeks ending February 6, 2019. * This exercise is essentially the last round of verification for student enrolment results on MSc and PhD.

ACE PROJECT UPDATE POINT SUR LE PROJET ACE DLR 2.2 – 2.4 (Masters & PhD Students) * On the student internship DLI and short term professional courses, it is expected that another round will be done in September 2019, depending on the status of results in this round. * The main student DLI verification was launched earlier so that funds can be disbursed and used up by the ACEs before the project ends on March 31, 2020. *Issues arsing from the exercise will be addressed during the M&E Clinics.

ACE PROJECT UPDATE POINT SUR LE PROJET ACE DLR 2.5 (Accreditation): Over the period, 5 ACEs (ACEGID, CEA-SMA, CEA-SAMEF, KNUST-RWESCK and WACCI) reported international and other programme accreditations and were credited with the relevant earnings following positive verification.

ACE PROJECT UPDATE POINT SUR LE PROJET ACE DLR 2.6 (Research Publications) * Eighteen (18) out of the 22 ACEs have earned the maximum allocation for research publications. * The remaining 4 ACEs have submitted results for verification to allow them increase their earnings.

ACE PROJECT UPDATE POINT SUR LE PROJET ACE DLI 2.8 (Teaching & Learning Environment): Milestone Verification * The 7th DLI 2.8 Verification missions to the ACEs were held on 9-18 December 2018 and the following centres were visited by verification experts: ACENTDFB (verification of milestones 3 and 4); CCBAD verification of milestone 3); CDA (verification of milestones 3 and 4); and CEA-MITIC (verification of milestone 2). * The DLI 2.8 milestones of the four ACEs were approved by World Bank and were credited with earnings

ACE PROJECT UPDATE POINT SUR LE PROJET ACE Monthly ACE Newsletter: The fourth issue of the ACE Newsletter (August-October 2018 edition) was distributed in hard copy to PSC members during the 13th ACE I PSC meeting and ACE Impact Ministerial meeting held in Accra in November 2018.

ACE PROJECT UPDATE POINT SUR LE PROJET ACE Monthly ACE Newsletter: * Soft copies were also shared with all stakeholders. * Summary of ACE activities in 2018 was prepared and disseminated among various ACE networks in December 2018.

ACE PROJECT UPDATE POINT SUR LE PROJET ACE Monthly ACE Newsletter: * The ACE social media pages (ACE I on Facebook and @the_ACE Project on Twitter) continue to serve as alternative platforms for information sharing. * Stakeholders to follow these pages and share information posted widely to enhance visibility for the project.

ACE PROJECT UPDATE POINT SUR LE PROJET ACE National Review Meetings: Togo: 18th December 2018. Ghana: 28th January 2019. Cote d’Ivoire: 7th February 2019. Nigeria: 8-8 February 2019. The purpose of this meeting was to take stock of the activities of the centres ahead of the next ACE events, discuss their implementation plans and challenges, as well as next steps.
