Q1, J13 Religion V’ Science Why is there often a struggle between religion and science? Can these two coexist?

Ethos, Pathos, Logos The Greek philosopher Aristotle divided the means of persuasion (appeals) into three categories - Ethos, Pathos, Logos. Ethos (Credibility), or ethical appeal, means convincing by the character of the author. Pathos (Emotional) means persuading by appealing to the reader's emotions. Logos (Logical) means persuading by the use of reasoning.

Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God (pg. 106) As we read….. Make a list of words / phrases that are intended to instill fear in the listener. (pathos) Now…. Write two CDW paragraphs to answer the following question. How does Jonathan Edwards use pathos to try to persuade his listeners to renew their faith in God? You should use both forms of correct in-text citation in your response. (one in each paragraph)
