The international dimension Alfa Proyects : SAFIRO UNCOFIN antecedents and purposes PIHE is looking to examine the changes taking place in 2 key areas: International cooperation, specially LA – EU partnerships Internationalisation and funding strategies

overall objectives The main objectives of this proyect are: to identify the key rationales and approaches to internationlisation of institutions of higher education in the two regions, and to identify their implications for institutional strategies, linkages and their funding in the two regions

specific objectives Establish a general framework for different types of partnerships between LA and EU Higher Education Institutions Present an overview of the funding policies offered by organizations at different levels Offer some conclusions with regard to strategic planning and quality assurance mechanisms for internationalisation
